On the 9th of February, 2026, Howag officially started exploitation of its new facility for manufacturing of cable assemblies in Site 2.
The official event gathered together all of Howag Bulgaria’s employees, along with the Mayor of Targovishte municipality and some good partners of ours.
The event consisted of a short ceremony, ritual blessing, and raclette-party as per Swiss tradition.
The new production facility is the crowning achievement of targeted planning, with project realization taking almost two years. As of today, there are two production areas in operation, and the new the production space (total of 700 sq.m.) will be filled up within the next months by machinery and teams for cable cutting, cable confection, moulding, spiralization.
Earlier last year (2025) Howag also opened a new warehouse with logistic ramp, spread on a total of 500 sq.m.
In the weekend right before the grand opening, Howag stayed true to its long-standing tradition for winter ski-event in Bansko, a well-known ski resort in Bulgaria. 24 employees from different departments had the opportunity to enjoy beautiful mountain landscapes, ski, snowboard, warm-water pool, spa, bowling and walks around the scenic town. The evenings were reserved for dancing, cheers, and wonderful local cuisine.
Well-relaxed after the fun weekend, Howag’s cable specialists are more than ready to use the power of the new facility to the max – for more production, optimized production time, and 100% quality cable assemblies!
